Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Each year, the community of Montefalcone di Val Fortore renews its devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel with the solemn novena from 6 to 14 July — daily confessions from 4:30 p.m., Rosary, Mass and homily at 6:00 p.m., with preaching by P. Giovanni Matera op of the Dominican Fathers of Avellino — and the main celebrations on 15, 16 and 17 July.
Religious programme: on 15 July vigil with concelebration presided by Mons. Sergio Melillo, vespers, procession and prayer vigil; on 16 July feast day with procession, concelebration and celebrations at the Shrine; on 17 July thanksgiving day. On 26 July, for World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly, Eucharistic celebration in memory of the centenary of Mons. Donato Minelli's birth.
2026 civil programme: on 15 July the «Città di Francavilla Fontana» wind band conducted by M° Ermir Krantja; on 16 July a large fair, Procession accompaniment and classical & symphonic music concert; on 17 July at 9:30 p.m. Enzo Avitabile & i Bottari in Largo Monumento. Fireworks on 16 July.
